Our mission is to create a vibrant hub of multigenerational creative entrepreneurs through collaboration, cohort style learning modules, and marketplace events.

We recognize that historical, systemic, and institutional disparities have long limited access to resources and opportunities for marginalized communities, and we aim to address these inequities head-on.

  • Our approach to minimizing these disparities begins with our leadership and organizational structure.

  • Our board is entirely composed of Indigenous individuals, ensuring that our vision is rooted in deep cultural traditions and lived experiences.

  • Our staff and volunteers are drawn from underrepresented communities, bringing not only diverse perspectives but also a shared understanding of the challenges faced by those historically excluded from mainstream economic opportunities.

This composition allows us to authentically represent a wide range of ethnic identities, gender identities, and abilities, fostering an environment where every voice is valued and amplified.

We specifically focus on unrepresented segments of the community, including Indigenous artisans, people of color, and individuals with disabilities. By offering access to our program, we aim to dismantle barriers that have historically hindered these groups from thriving as creative entrepreneurs. Our cohort modules are currently in development and being designed to be culturally relevant and inclusive, ensuring that participants can engage with the material in a way that resonates with their unique backgrounds and experiences.

Our marketplace events will not only serve as platforms for artisans to showcase their work but will also cultivate a sense of community and collaboration. We aim to create spaces where diverse identities can intersect, fostering relationships and networks that empower participants to share resources and support one another.

At La Paloma, we understand the profound impact of structural racism and the social and economic inequities that persist in our society. As a team that has experienced these challenges firsthand, we are deeply committed to equity and social justice.
